Clay Creation - the space
Clay Creation is a CONE 10 REDUCTION studio
At Full capacity we have:
- 12 electric Pottery Wheels
- 1 Kick Wheel
- Slab roller
- 2 Wedging tables
- 3 indoor hand-building tables
- 1 outdoor hand-building table
- LOTS of great ceramic artists that share ideas and techniques.
- An amazing stable of teachers and clay coaches.
- A giant selection of well behaving glazes.
COVID precautions we take:
- Fresh Air mixed with recycled air
- UV filter for recycled air
- Hepa filter for recycled air
- Easy social distancing
Come in for a tour, please wear your mask if you are recovering from a cold and check in with the studio monitor.
The Studio
Pottery wheel set-up for COVID . Can be hand-building station too.
Our kiln unloading ritual - ooh-ahhh session.
Hand-building stations have fabric covered surface so your clay projects wont stick. Inside are 2 seated tables and 1 standing table. Outside is one standing table.
This rack is where your bonedry green ware will wait to be loaded into the kiln.
When we can fill the studio again, it bustles with energy and creativity. For now we will enjoy the less full space and revel in quiet concentrating creativity.
The kiln has been fired and waiting on folks to arrive so we can unload as a team.
